Terms of Service & Platform Policies
Last updated: July 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or accessing the REALEST PROMPT real estate marketplace, you agree to comply with these Terms of Service, our Acceptable Use Policy, Escrow Holding Rules, and Refund Policies.
2. Vendor Onboarding & Enhanced Due Diligence (KYC / EDD)
All third-party real estate sellers, property vendors, and realtors must undergo mandatory identity verification (KYC) before listing properties or receiving payments. Vendors are required to submit their valid 11-digit National Identity Number (NIN) for verification.
REALEST PROMPT performs manual **Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD)** verification on every vendor via official identity infrastructure (Dojah.io) prior to granting listing privileges or authorizing payment payouts. Unverified accounts remain suspended from receiving marketplace funds.
3. Acceptable Use Policy
Users and vendors must adhere to strict acceptable conduct standards when utilizing REALEST PROMPT. The following activities are strictly prohibited:
- Listing fraudulent, misrepresentative, or unauthorized real estate properties.
- Impersonating registered realtors, licensed corporate entities, or government agencies.
- Engaging in unauthorized money transmission, financial fraud, or money laundering activities.
- Collecting payments outside of the official REALEST PROMPT secure Paystack checkout workflow.
- Submitting fraudulent, invalid, or unauthorized National Identity Numbers (NIN) or fraudulent land documentation.
Violations result in immediate account suspension, forfeiture of escrow privileges, and reporting to legal regulatory authorities.
4. Escrow & Order Confirmation Policy
To protect buyers and ensure transaction integrity, REALEST PROMPT operates a Buyer Order Confirmation & Escrow Holding Framework:
- Fund Holding: When a buyer initiates a deposit, booking, or inspection fee through Paystack, funds are securely held in escrow by REALEST PROMPT.
- Buyer Confirmation: Payout funds are NOT immediately disbursed to the vendor upon payment. Disbursal requires explicit buyer order confirmation or verified physical inspection completion.
- Disbursal Authorization: Once the buyer confirms satisfaction or completion of the agreed service milestone, funds are released to the verified vendor's settlement account.
5. Refund & Cancellation Policy
REALEST PROMPT provides clear refund protections for transactions processed on our platform:
- Inspection & Deposit Refunds: Buyers are entitled to a 100% full refund if a vendor cancels a scheduled physical inspection, fails to provide accurate property documentation, or misrepresents property availability.
- Pre-Confirmation Refunds: Requests made before buyer order confirmation will be processed within 3 to 5 business days back to the original Paystack payment method.
- Non-Refundable Circumstances: Fees associated with completed and confirmed physical site visits are non-refundable once approved by the buyer.
6. Dispute Resolution & Vendor Offboarding
In the event of a disagreement between a buyer and a vendor (e.g. misdescribed property parameters, title verification issues, or service non-performance):
- Dispute Logging: The buyer or vendor files a dispute ticket directly through their Dashboard Support Inbox or via [email protected].
- Transaction Freeze: All associated escrow funds are immediately placed on hold pending investigation.
- Compliance Investigation: REALEST PROMPT compliance officers review chat logs, inspection notes, and property deeds.
- Resolution & Offboarding: Disputes are resolved within 48 to 72 hours. Vendors engaging in repeated misrepresentation are permanently offboarded and reported.
